§ 2-148. Board may employ; special counsel; compensation.

  • The president with the consent of the board may, from time to time, retain an attorney to represent or advise the village on legal matters. The village attorney may likewise retain special counsel to advise or represent the village on special matters or to assist the village attorney. Such attorney shall receive a retainer plus reasonable compensation for services rendered.
