§ 46-19. Department created.

There is hereby created a police department which shall consist of the chief of police and such other members as may be provided from time to time by ordinance. Members shall be as follows:

(1)

Patrol officer. The number of patrol officers shall be as set from time to time by passage of a motion by the board of trustees based on the recommendation of the village president.

(2)

Sergeant. There shall be three sergeants.

(3)

Lieutenant. There shall be two lieutenants.

(4)

Reserved.

(5)

Deputy chief of police. There shall be one deputy chief of police.
