§ 78-4. Administrative towing fees.

The police department of the Village of South Chicago Heights is authorized to charge administrative fees in order to defray the costs associated with exercising its lawful authority to have certain vehicles towed. The police department may charge these fees to the owner of the vehicle according to the following schedule:

Abandoned vehicles ..... $30.00

(2)

Vehicles involved in accidents ..... 30.00

(3)

Stolen vehicles ..... 30.00

(4)

Vehicles under investigative hold ..... 30.00

(5)

Vehicles authorized to be towed following any non-criminal matter not mentioned above ..... 25.00

(6)

Vehicles authorized to be towed following a traffic arrest ..... 75.00

(7)

Vehicles authorized to be towed following an arrest for a non-drug related misdemeanor ..... 75.00

Vehicles authorized to be towed following an arrest for a drug related misdemeanor ..... 250.00

(9)

Vehicles authorized to be towed following an arrest for a felony other than a felony related to drugs or for driving under the influence ..... 500.00

Vehicles authorized to be towed following an arrest for a driving under the influence ..... 500.00

Vehicles authorized to be towed following an arrest for a drug related felony ..... 500.00

Storage fee if vehicle is held on South Chicago Heights property ..... 30.00
