§ 2-277. Membership.

The beautification committee shall be comprised of nine members, appointed by the village president with the consent of the board of trustees, who shall serve without compensation. Only those persons who reside within the corporate boundaries of the village shall be eligible to be appointed and serve. The village president shall designate one appointee as chair of the beautification committee at the time of appointment. The chair shall be subject to removal by the village president. The village president shall designate one village trustee to serve as a liaison to the beautification committee. The beautification committee shall elect a vice-chair and secretary from among its members for a term of office designated by the committee.
