§ 2-50. Recognition; time limits.

  • Persons desiring to speak at a meeting of the village board shall obtain recognition from the chair before speaking. After being recognized, each person shall give his or her name and residence address to the board before speaking. Unless otherwise ordered by a majority of the members of the village board present at a meeting, no person shall speak to the village board for more than three minutes on any one topic. The total time for public comments at any regular board meeting shall not exceed 30 minutes.
